Project Statement

This series explores iconic, regional variations that remain in a culturally scrambled world. Layers of historical research, maps, and typography figure prominently in my works, combined with graphic patterns and images of the people, objects, and architecture that are unique to a specific location. Each photocollaged work is an interpretive reflection of—and provides an homage to—a singular corner of the world.
